While we were participating in the Columbus Bridal Expo at the Aladdin Shrine Center, we came across Griffins Floral & Event Design. Russ Griffin did an amazing job of putting together elegant table and floral designs, so I wanted to share a little bit of what we saw so that our couples could get a few ideas.
From their website:
Griffin’s Floral & Event Design, Columbus Ohio, promises a diverse range of floral décor and events concepts that are unique and distinctive to our array of clientele in the Columbus Weddings & Event market. [They] can plan your family gathering big or small, including weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, or your next large corporate event. [They] pride [themselves] in offering imaginative and unique floral artistry as well as cutting edge, client-specific concepts. Wedding Flowers, Wholesale Linen Rental, Lighting, Invitations, Event Design have never been easier.

As Steve said in his previous post, we have been really busy with some back-end work for the upcoming season. Every once and a while it is easy to be distracted by our passion. I can’t say how excited I was today when the UPS man shows up with this!
GraphiStudio does a great job of getting their Italian Leather albums to us in a very timely manner. We have been doing business with Graphi for a few years now, and I can tell you, they deliver nothing but the best. In the next few months, we look forward to sampling some of their other album styles.
One of the most rewarding things I get to encounter is the delivery of our printed products. Unfortunately, we aren’t often provided the opportunity to hand deliver each and every album, but opening each one and doing a quick Quality Assurance check brings me back to each wedding day. If I could deliver your albums personally, I am sure that would be my favorite part of the job, but since I can’t, this is the next best thing.

tripod
I wanted to write about the best Christmas present a sister could ever give… This year my sister got a (knock-off) gorilla grip tripod… We have been looking at one of these for quite a while, but never really thought to pick one up. This is going to be great for our blog-cams. We often would like to to blogging and other quick-pics and are unable to hang on to the camera, and this handy device is the easiest way to do it. I have only had this thing for about 2 hours, and it has already far exceeded my expectations.
One note for those that may be in the market: make sure you have a quick “head” release for the camera, the one I have is quick release with a lock, and it is low profile so it doesnt add to the size of my slim-profile Canon PowerShot SD870IS.
For obvious reasons, I would not recommend ever putting a DSLR on one of these.

We updated to WordPress this weekend, it is great to be able to template our blog to have the same look and feel as our website. Over the next few weeks, keep an eye open for some additional changes/improvements on the blog. Let us know your likes/dislikes and we will see about making some adjustments.

Hey, Chris and I had a great opportunity to shoot with Lindsay and Mike in Medina. It was a little cold at the end of November, but I think we all had a good time. We were able to produce some unique images, which you will see in their Animoto video as well as on their Pictage account.

Steve and I have been looking at flash slideshow software for quite a while, and have come across Showit Web created by David Jay. Because we already have SlideShow Pro, there were a lot of questions that needed to be asked before we made the decision to add an additional piece of slideshow software to our arsenal. The most common was: “Why do we need another application?”
