On July 25th Steve, Brad, and I were up in Michigan shooting Rachel and Brandon’s wedding. The day started at around 9:30 at Antonino’s Salon & Spa, where the girls started getting their hair and makeup done. After a few hours, the girls decided they needed some food, and we had an unexpected (but VERY welcome) trip to Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches. Now as our friends will tell you, we LOVE Jimmy John’s, so I had a great time shooting the girls inside with all the cool signs and vibrant colors. From there I was off to the hotel while Steve and Brad set up our table at the reception and covered the guys getting ready at Rachel and Brandon’s new house. As everyone got ready, all eyes were on the weather and radar maps keeping an eye on where a passing storm was going. Luckily, everything cleared up just in time, and we were off to the races church and reception.
Rachel and Brandon picked a wonderful location for both their church and reception hall. Both venues also happened to be right next to each other, so it was extremely easy for us to make the transition from the church to the hall. As you other photographers might know, this is one of the most stressful times during the day because you are trying to keep pace with the bridal party, but not forget any gear! Congratulations to Rachel and Brandon on a beautiful day.
